In what has now I think become our Thanksgiving tradition, we skip the cookbook and instead use our November cookbook club event to celebrate Friendsgiving. Each person brings a dish they have been wanting to test out, or one that is their Thanksgiving specialty. I am especially thankful for the truly wonderful things that Cookbook Club has brought to my life – tons of great food and more lasting friendships than I could have imagined. John hosted us at his nice big table, which allowed all 10 of us to sit together and share the meal and conversation. Special thanks to him for also allowing Cindy, Kris, Drew, and me to strong-arm him into roasting duck instead of turkey, which heโd never done before but came out fantastic! And in true Thanksgiving fashion, we had 6 desserts ๐ Definitely my kind of feast…
